I ordered my new hardtail frame for FR/DH tonight and I am pretty stoked. I am still debating on two things, wether to go with 3 inch wide tires and a fox 40RC2, or go a more mild route with intense fro's and a 32 talas RC2. I think since I allready have a DHR I might go with the mild route. both forks are still a through axle design but two different styles.
I am going to race it in the hartail classes at most of the local series (CCCX, CHDH) and I am choosing fox just because I allready run the 40 and the talas on my 5 spot and DHR. not only that, I would have a backup fork in case of blowouts at the races. I am not building it just for this area either, It will be used in most of the other states I ride.
what do you guys think?
