Hey Erik,
It will make the front end a bit slacker which is better for downhill, but will obviously be heavier. If I were you, I'd stick with a single crown and just go with one that has a bit more travel, though you'll have to look elsewhere than Fox. 6in. of travel for freeride/park isn't enough for you?
