Race For Tara 11/8/08 at Sandhill

Mountain cross race and not dual slalom.

BICYCLES: Pre-reg for the Race 4Tara-2 (11-8-08) opens next week, on Oct 1
st (8 am California time). Go to www.bikereg.com to enter. There will be an Industry Cup class this year, too. It will be a mountain-cross race, same as last year. We know a lot of you prefer Dual Slalom, but we chose a race that was less labor intensive and time consuming to hold so that we can concentrate on the over-the-top raffle (those who came last year went home with bikes, frame sets, shocks, tires, clothing, DVD\'s, and more), and on meeting with Tara Llanes herself who will be there to autograph stuff for you.The next day, Sunday 11-9-08, the UC Berkeley Cycling Club is holding a Collegiate round at Sand Hill and has invited the general race community to sign up for non-collegiate classes. If you\'re interested, send me an email (hit Reply) and I will FWD you to the contact person for that. I believe they are doing a DS and a Dirt Criterium. The Bicycle Park remains CLOSED until the weekend of Oct 31/ Nov 1 (Sat & Sun 10-5. $12-open practice). There are two Build weekends slated for Oct 18/19 and 25/26. If you plan to come, bring work gloves and a tool (either a shovel, metal rake, weed eater, lawn mower, etc.)

That'll be awesome if you could go. If you (or anyone) have a lawn mower or gas weed wacker, that would be even better!

Sounds like the slalom race on Sunday is open to everyone. Norba and college categories.
