Custom Black X.0 Shifter

I powder coated the lever and baked a ceramic coating on the shifter body.

DIY coming soon for those who dare.

After a dozen-or-so rides, the baked on ceramic header coating was showing signs of wear... So, I decided to disassemble and powder coated it, as originally intended:

Might as well do the bits too while I was at it:

Unsatisfied with the finish, I had to redo it again... but was curious to see how it'd look assembled.

Undeterred, I disassembled it yet again to re-coat the shifter body and the barrel adjustment knob.

Looks cherry... hope nothing goes wrong:

Third time is good enough not to warrant a redo:

Now it really is all black!

--sleep. zzzz

I can probably put it together in my sleep --not sure that's a good thing though. o_0
