After a few days of testing on the site, we've noticed that in Safari on a Mac, the edit button has to be hit twice in order for you to edit your post successfully. Otherwise it will just sit there and not do anything. If you don't use a mac or safari, then this won't affect you, otherwise just hit the button twice and you'll be fine. In the meantime, rest assured that it is being looked into.
