Replacing Hayes Levers

I am probably buying Dangerboy levers for my Hayes....
Do any of you know how to do it?
Isn't there a pin that you have to like pop out and then pop back in with the new lever or something?
I would rather not bring it to a shop....

Haha, I'm gonna say haha after everything I say. haha
This is so amusing. haha

I know that this is gonna hurt, but you might have to read the instructions that come with the new levers. Unless one of the more intellegent people on this board know.

if you have the purples there is a clip at the bottom of the lever pin that you remove

if your running the mags or you use a punch to hammer out the lever pin leave the lever pin bushings in and to press it back in

if your running the hfx9's remove the lever bolt

for all of them back out the push rod and the adjustable bushing will fall out

after you get the lever on reinstall the adjustable bushing on the push rod. dont force it past its limits

My website is pretty lame. Dont click on it.

Is it really a PITA to replace levers on the Mag levers?

I held off for now on the levers but maybe in the near future.

some shops have the Razor Rock tool which does it in about 10 seconds. I however needed to get mine in before I had access to one, and Ill just say it took me 2 days of pounding (i got very fustrated so it was drawn out). Its a very tight fit and after awhile I gave up trying to make it look good and just pounded it to oblivion. Of course, once there in you never need to do a thing again. Its not hard, it just takes awhile so have some cold beer ready.
