1-1/4 Headtube Noob Help

I have an old Monty Trial Frame that has a 1-1/4 headtube. I want to upgrade the rigid fork with a shock but finding it difficult to find a shock that would fit. Would there be some type of headtube adapter to reduce the 1-1/4 to a 1-1/8?
