Help! x vert carbon q's

hey all, I recently got a 2001 xvert carbon and I want to overhaul it. manitou has taken down the .pdf file of the service manual off their website. does anyone run my fork and have the manual? any setup advice? Im ~150lbs. have the soft springs in there right now but have a couple mediums and hards also. what oil levels? :D

clapped out iron horse sgs dh/x vert carbon
1984 rabbit gti, 2.0 8v coilovers
1991 subaru legacy, stock
Im doin bout 100 on the highway so if you do the speed limit get the fukc out of my way

did you try calling them? if they don't respond take it to your shop. either they'll do it for you or you can try to get the manual from them. i don't have any experiance overhauling forks my self, but i hear it only takes an hour or two, so i do think that an at home job is possible (if you trust that you won't forget to screw a couple bolts or something :D )

oh I have no doubt that I can overhaul this fork pretty quick, I used to have a risse trixxy which was hell to work on. this fork is supposed to be easy, Im just looking for the schematics and setup tips.

schematics

I havce one myself and am looking for the same info. I am going to Vision SF to talk to charlie - he used to rock this fork and has a few in stock the last time i was there all for repair/sale/art... one was pretty jacked up. I think its the same as the melinium single crown too. Manitou will rebuild the thing with evil genius seals for 60 bucks! plus the cost of shipping. they might be able to do a safty check for you for free at sea otter if you are going. good luck. If you want to know what I found out send me an e-mail AWAY from this site - I no longer check here very often
