Identify this frame...

The person to correctly identify this frame, as well as it's history of design, production, retail price, and any other tech, will win a new headset!

I'm the judge of the contest. The more quality content you can provide, the more likely you'll win. BTW, there's a few local guys that are trying to identify this right now too.

The headset is a Cane Creek S2, black in color. New in the packaging with instructions. Came it a buildkit that I didn't need.

Anyways, Here's the pics.

Hint: I have reason to belive it's not a Schwinn.

well, nobody got it. The headset is going to be used for the frame. I'll just build it and ride.

FYI - The frame weighs about 10 lbs (with BB) on the bike scale at the shop. everything seems straight and no cracks. We estimate about 4" of travel. I'll let you know how it rides in a couple weeks.

Dude, the bike was $100, and it's in great condition. We're thinking that the bike hails from Italy (definitely somewhere in Europe). The suspension linkage is pretty trick, and it runs a remote resovoir shock. I have yet to build it up, but look forward to in the next month or so.

We measured the geometry and alignment of the frame at the bike shop. The seat tube isn't actually THAT long. The bike is about a medium (18") size. It just looks long because of the layout of the frame. I have a feeling it will look more 'normal' once it's built up.

We were trying to do some trig, and figure out what the travel of the bike is. We're figuring about 4" to 5" of rear wheel travel.

:261: it's definitely an "interesting" frame. I hope to have it all finished to ride around at Sea Otter.
