brakes

What brakes does everyone recomend for my Hardtail(sputnik w/ dj1)? I was trying to decided between some cheapo mechanical disk brakes or some nice avid rim brakes. If i got rim brakes I would obviously have to get a new wheelset, if i do, what does everyone recomend? mamouth, rhyno lite, rhyno XL. what hub? so what does everyone think?

im still dead

go with the avid mechanical, you can't go wrong. Cheap, low maintnence, and more powerfull than many hydros on the market. Done and done.

I would def go with disk brakes. The avids are pretty ding dang darn cheap. Id also advise to stay away from rims brakes unless you dont plan on riding too fast.
