Is there such a thing as a lightweight burly wheelset?

So I just got in my Banshee Chaparral frame and while I've been drooling over it I've also been wanting to build it up. I'm looking for some tough wheels that aren't going to weigh too much as the frame already is a bit porky. It's not that weight is a huge issue, but if I ever decide to do anything remotely like a xc ride on it, I'm going to need all the weight savings I can get while still having burly parts. So does anyone have suggestions? My ideal wheelset is the atom lab trailpimp for all around durability, but I'm not really sure if these are heavy by "freeride" standards. Is there some sort of equivalent in durability that might possibly weigh in close to a deemax wheelset? I dunno, I might be completely retarted, but I haven't built up a bike for about 3-4 years so I'm a little lame on all the products that are out there now.

HOUDINI!!!!

I just built a new bike with Mavic 729's, but I don't really know if they are lightweight or not. They are certainly burly though, and I've been told they are lightweight. I've also heard the 823's with tubeless tires are light and tough.

DeeMax's are about as light as you want to be for a burly bike and you can run tubless with them. I had my DeeMax with singleply 2.35" tubeless tires and I would roll much faster than my buddy with his 321's with his double ply tubed tires.

If you got a lot of bank you could also look at some custom industry nines.
