Junior T air preload, can it be done?

Wondering if anybody's tried this. I took the air caps off my DJ fork and put them on my Junior T and pumped it up just like a DJ. Seems to work. I emailed Marzocchi and asked if this is OK. Haven't heard back. Anyone seen this before?
