i will def 2nd that. You can do soooo much with the blitz. Throw a 36 on there and you can adjust it to whatever your needs. The geomeetry on the bike also kicks.

dont know anything about the versus, but the blur 4x should really be considered a race bike. Its a little squirrely for anything else in my opinion. Not to say it cant be raced on some downhill (ie Sea Otter), but if your doing gaps and trails...get something beefier and without such a high propedal tune.
Im a big fan of Specialized. Their SX frame is pretty bitchin, and still a shock valvin issue, but the 4 bar is more active.

make that 2 votes for the SX Specialized put tons of time and $ into making it and they did it. I was gonna buy one but then I realized that a camaro is more fun than an SX but anyway, if you're gonna buy a bike...get an SX

Thats tough. You said you wanted a new frame??? Well the Bullit isn't being made this year, and I don't think it was made in 05 either, so you'd have to get a used one. But apparently the bullit feels awesome.
I've ridden the Blitz... it was kinda iffy for me, course it was a demo bike set-up at Sea Otter last year so I'm sure that and the fact that it was only ridden on flat ground has a huge factor in it. Frame looks really cool tho, and it would appear to be super versatile.
Blur 4x is a 4cross or slalom race bike. It's tough, but it probably wont handle repeated abuse very well.
I'm gonna have to agree with most here and say the Specialized sx is the way to go. The Nomad is another super sweet ride. But Specialized in my opinion is probably the best of the major brands...they're frames are super tough, look good, and other companies pay them big bucks to be able to use their patented fsr linkage on their bikes, which says a lot about them.
Also check out Transition, they're bikes are burly and built well, and they have awesome customer service, they'll take good care of you, and the frames aren't too terribly expensive.

well theyre redesigning the bullit so u mite want to see what happens with that. at least thats the word on the streetz. nomad and sx are sick frames made exactly w/ a person like you in mind. id go with one of those two since theyre sweet.

id go with the Blitz, it shood suit your riding styles really well, but if you were willing to spend more money you should go with the Nomad. good luck finding one.

I would consider the Nomad and you could beef it up with a DHX coil instead of the air. The Nomad's work surprisingly well for DJ & they are an incredible trail bike.

if you mean an older versus blitz I would say no, but the Blitz II is hot ****. Also the bullit was made in 05 but its an old dog, the blitz II is more than a substitute. The blur 4x is for mountaincross. Nomad maybe, but not the 4x. An SX trail would be a hot number too. Or a Tansition Bottle Rocket, which is very comprable to the Blitz II in terms of geometry.
