will it fit?

Hey peeps, on my demo i have a swinger 4 way, 9.5 x 3.0 , my question is. if is would a 9.5 x 3.0 DHX 5.0 fit. Does anyone have one on their demo?

also how much would a good price be for the swinger? gonna try and sell it and buy a DHX 5.0

I dont see why it wouldnt fit if its the exact same size shock, are you looking at the dhx air or coil shock? My guess on the value of your swinger assuming its in fair condition $150-$200.

I am just trying to make sure it fits so i don;t end up without a rear shox.

also the shox is near Mint and comes with a 500lbs coil on it and an extra 400lbs coil

Why yes I do. They seem to be made specifically for the Demo too! The difference between the Manitou and the Fox is absolute night and day.

How much do you weigh? The Demo can run a very light spring. I currently have been trying a 400lb spring and I weigh about 145 lbs. I originally ran a 350 and Im moving back. These bikes are made to run huge sag.

PS. You need specific hardware that is different then the Manitous to mount the Fox. They are different diameter eyelets. If you tell Fox what bike you have, they will send you the correct stuff. I would also suggest getting an extra DU bushing or 2 because Demos are known for having a loose shock mount and it wreaks havoc on the bushing.

I weigh about 170 lbs, Currently i am running a 500 lbs coil in the back and it works fine. When/If I order the shox i can order it with a 500 lbs coil. I also have a 400lbs manitou coil spare. If i decide the 500 lbs coil is to much will the manitou coil work? its a 9.5 x 3.0 if i order a 9.5 x 3.0 DHX will the manitou coil work on the DHX ??

Thanks for all the information. :01:
