Does anyone know about fitting a Gamut P40 onto a Howitzer BB and Holzfeller cranks? Will it fit?

I'm halfway through installing a P40 w/ Holzfeller. However, I started 3 weeks ago... don't know when I'll finish , but I'll let you know (heh heh...).

They're the 2005 Holzfeller w/ a gigapipe BB. No ISCG mounts. Right now, the BB mounted boomerang is a bit loose. I might have to use a BB spacer, even though the PDF directions say not to. if it's any indication of how much I've been lagging this winter, this is the Gamut I won in Grande's Raffle.

I installed a P40 with the new Howitzer BB/Holzfeller Cranks a couple of weeks ago. It does fit, but you have to crank down on it so the boomerang doesn't get loose. I've actually done it with my girlfriend's Howitzer Team BB and Holzfeller Cranks w/a P40 and my Howitzer Team BB and Hussefelt Cranks w/a Boxguide. Her BB came with these weird end caps which stuck out a bunch (like extra shoulders) so now her crank is a little tight and seems to drag a little bit. But mine worked just fine with my Boxguide, just make sure the BB cups are really tight and the crank bolts are torqued correctly (I called SRAM and they said to torque it to 420 in-lbs). I've been using mine for dirt jumping and it hasn't come loose yet!

Thanks, Yeh My only concern was that the external bottom bracket might make the cranks stick out too far and the guides going to be way too far from the chainring? The chainline seems like it would be to big..

The Howitzer interface is designed to give the cranks less width/less curve... if that makes sense. They are more straight (less curve) to compensate for the extra bearing width and will sit just as far out from the chainstay as the old Holzfellers.
