Changing tightness of brake levers
|
|
So I just got some new hayes hfx-9's and was wondering how you can make it so that I don't have to pull down on the levers so hard to break.

Ok...Look at your lever. On the inside, you'll see a screw. Take a small small allen wrench, and stick it in there, and turn until you like the way it feels. Here are some pics to show you what i mean.

That just adjusts how far your fingers have to reach to grab the lever. It usually takes a ride or two to break in your pads. Enjoy the brakes.

when u "wore them in", did the levers move in a little bit? because that isn't them wearing in, it is them slipping, and u will have to move them back out after a short while. i had this problem with both sets of 9's that i've had

Nah, I didn't notice them moving in. I'll keep an eye on them if they start to do that though.
