SRAM XO Derailleurs Rebuildable?

Im looking at an XO derailleur, and I noticed that unlike any other derailleur Ive seen (X7, X9, Shimano, etc), all the pivots actually have mini-snap rings, leading me to believe that I could theoretically replace a specific section of the derailleur...such as the piece that is bent on mine.

Considering a new derailleur runs me over $150, being able to replace a specific $20 or $40 piece would obviously make me dance around and sing.

Obviously there is of course the question of whether SRAM would even sell a specific piece of derailleur. Since the derailleur shoes serious signs of abuse, Im assuming they would tell me to either buy a new one or take a hike. However combining 2 broken XOs for 1 good one, is also an option for me.

Anyone have an XO they can look at or know about this? I will snap a picture soon.

I remember seeing on ridemonkey that it was totally rebuildable and that if you bring it in to a race, they will probobly either replace the part for you or replace the whole thing free of chare.

Hmm, thats good to hear. Because they are very small snap rings lol. I will try it next race, however my last few experiences with race support have been anything but encouraging. Definitely worth a shot. Ill give em a call today and see what the deal is.

Alright cool, I know that they were good at sea otter, some little kid fell and broke his x9 der and shifter and they replaced them both for free, I was amazed.
