How To: Make A Homemade Helmet Cam

The following is a very simple, very crude, tutorial to help with making your own homemade helmet cam. Enjoy
Note: the following numbers correspond to the below picture

- Go to Frys, or your local electronic store, and buy:
9v battery (3)
Security camera kit (1)
Snap on 9v battery connecter (2)
Double ended female AV cable connector (5)
depending on the security camera this may not be needed as is the case in this example
Video camera to AV cable, most likely comes with your video or still camera (4)

- Cut the tip of the power cable connected to the security camera off, the non camera side :tired:

- Solder the battery connecter (2) to the corresponding wires from the above cut cable and cover each wire with electrical tape, or for a lazy not so reliable way twist the wires then tape individualy to prevent short circut

- Connect the AV cable to video camera and security camera

- Depending on your video camera you may need to change the settings to AV in to record from the security camera

- There you go, your own homemade security camera!

If you have any questions send me a PM and I'll see what I can do

Depends on what quality you want, I did it with a camera that doesnt record sound and it cost me just under $100
