ISCG- what am I missing here?

I have:
e.13 guide from a V10
e.13 bb mount adaptor

All the CG's I've used have been BB mount. Is this boomerang specific for DH?

Are you asking because the ISCG adapter doesn't line up with the holes in the chainguide? (it's hard to tell in the pic)

If that's the case, your CG is ISCG '05 while your adapter is just plain old ISCG. They changed the standard in '05 to give additional clearance for ext. bb's and pivots and such.

Evil / e.13 sells the correct bb adapter:

*edit* I just realized how old your post is.. I sincerely hope you figured it out before now.

No worries. Thanks though. It took some additional research, but I also came to the same conclusion. Result: a perfectly nice chainguide sitting in a box in storage. I decided to run a 2x9 w/ bash guard instead. Speaking of which, I should post this guide for sale again. Any takers?

Ran into sort of the same issue with my girlfriend's 04 Giant AC. Bought a drs, and specified ICSG rather than ICSG 05. The holes on the DRS didn't match up to the tabs on the bike.

Luckily it also came with a bb mount, so I ended up running that, but was kinda bummed. I now have to order a chainguide for my 05 giant faith, but I'm still not sure if the tabs are ICSG, ICSG 05 or just some random tabs. How can you tell?

I went to these pages to figure it out. Keep in mind that there are some frames that had to use a custom set up. I think the M3 is one of them.

e.13 seems to know which bikes switched over to ISCG '05 and when. Their cust service is great too, so give em a call.

I've seen a few and can tell by just looking at it. The holes are farther away from the bb to help clear external bb bearings. Traditional ISCG will barely clear (and often need to be modified) an external bottom bracket.

e.13 could probably tell you the bolt circle diameter too, so you could just measure.
