I'm sure this was all over the Intense forum on mtbr, but I felt like linking y'all up, too:

What do you think? Does the M3 need a facelift?

Seems like an M3 but a little lighter I guess? I think they should have just made the 2008 M3's into this bike, unless this is replacing the M3 altogether. I only have some issues with the build up on that one:

I'm personally hating my new Sram shifting. Always problematic and cheaply made. Limit screws eat at the surface they hit and always loosen themselves. The entire body bends really easy too, my shimano derailluer has been hit many o times with no change in shifting. I'm on my second x9 derailluer in 5 months and I'm already needing a third. I feel like SRAM has a big hype from all their advertising, which causes people to think its the best. It looks pretty but in my opinion it isn't all its talked up to be. I know a lot of people have had "flawless" shifting from SRAM (I know Tasso is gonna say something about that) but my experience has been all bad. Anyway, I agree the M5 should have a different suspension set up but Shimano is sturdy as **** and I would switch to new shimano stuff if I could afford it.
(...hmm maybe time for a new thread?)

I beg to differ. 2 Years ago at northstar I had a shimano deralleur on my big hit, and every run it either snapped off completely or needed new housing. I now have switched to sram, never broken an xo(thankfully) and they are on both my bikes that have been ridden at practically every race in cali, a week in whistler, and very many shuttle runs. The only sram deralier(x7) I have fried was at bootleg canyon. And basically, if you dont fry at least one(deralluer) while you are there you must have walked down the hill.

Yea, you cant really blame Shimano for getting rocked at Northstar, you might want to just choose better lines..

Pretty sweet looking... but I can't help but say V10. But when you have the same suspension design, I guess you can't stray too far.... They look like long lost sisters....

why is anybody worrying about how it is built up. Its kovariks bike. Those parts or from the people that put money into the MS intense team. The post is to show of the new frame. Not how the factory team should change their setup cuz you guys dont like it.

I wouldn't say it's basically a V10... I'd say it's very similar and I'm pretty sure it'd have all the same advantages and disadvantages of the VPP on the V10. As far as riding characteristics, they might be completely different. I guess I'd have to hop on an M5 to figure out! :06:
