rubber for my bitch

Hey fellow dirtheads,

Need to choose between Larsens, Nokian Bozo's or NBX's, or....Intense system's. Ride mostly hardpack with some loose sandy stuff. Any thoughts?

Thanks

what rim and bike?

If you want to struggle while putting on a new tire, go with the WTB or Intense combo with Rhyno Lites or Rhyno Lites XL. I have both combinations, and my hands ache when I try to change tubes or tires...

I have a thread right below just like this...

What I have gathered is the Larsens wear hella fast
are mostly good for only hardpack

and Intenses are realllly heavy if thats a concern of yours

Haha, I'm gonna say haha after everything I say. haha
This is so amusing. haha

well, for my loose over hardpack conditions i'm getting a kenda blue groove on the front and a nevegal for the rear. both 2.5. certain people in the know tell me they're up to par or better than michelins, which are damn good. for a little extra cash the maxxis minion DH are a nice tire for that application.

someone's telling me to go for the maxxis high rollers for loose wet stuff too. 60a in back, ST up front in a 2.7. too many choices.

I've never heard of the tires Chico has, but what he said and everyone else so far is right. You've got pretty much all the info right there. Although I have a Larsen up front and it does wonders on pavement and I don't see any signs of wear. Take that with a grain of salt, though, because I've barely ridden it and it hasn't seen dirt yet :(

Attending UCSC, College Eight. Feel free to come ride with me.

Keep it rockin' Hub TV!!
