so im gonna be building an SS and im gonna be using 32-16. if i cant use a tensioner(no derailleur hanger) will i be able to get decent tension if i use a halflink chain? regular chain? what are the best SS chains?
the halflink chain gives you pretty good tension (I just put one of my stp in lieu of the hanger) but it's not like super tight. At least for my bike, the chain is a little loose, but not loose enough to hit the chainstay at all, and I'm running a smaller gearing that you (30:14).
