Fox DHX 5 Problem?

I have an 06 Fox DHX 5.0. Whenever I pump up the air assist (you know how you pump air into the resivoir to make it stiffer), After a few days it loses most of it's pressure and is way to soft.

SO my question is:

1) Do I just need to make sure I keep it to the right PSI and maybe have to pump it up every ride or so

or

2) Is there something wrong with my shock

I don't have much experience with this shock so any help you could give me is appreciated.

I posted the exact same thing on pinkbike but I'm not getting much help there.

Try posting it on ridemonkey, there are a lot of really smart guys over there. It sounds like a loose seal or a leak. You will probably have to send it to fox which means no shocky for 3-4 weeks.:17:

you run the cap on the valve right?
when you cycle it, can you hear lil air bubbles in the oil/ does it feel really fast?

I just got it back together last week and had the shock pumped up when I put it on. I finished the build (cables, housing, etc.) and it was really soft. I'll be on it for the first time this weekend so i'll let you know whe I find out...

And yes I have the valve cap on.

I was running 130PSI, but I found out the spring was way to soft (Crazy leverage ratio on the Karpiel), and It's sold now.

But thanks for the help
