I used to do that all the time in my suburban until I got water in the motor somehow and fried an intake valve. My parents weren't very happy to say the least.

like I haven't seen all the vagina diagrams on the truck forums... I'm trying to save up for an airhorn but I'm getting intake and headers first? Does anyone take there trucks offroad on the forum. I want to make a wheeling/biking video if anyone down to be in it.. Should be fun

Im down peter! we got lots of cool trucks and lots of land...lemme know when. And most headers out there wont do anything for your truck....most of the JBA, GIBSON, EDLEBROCK etc headers are no improvement over your stock manifolds. The only way headers will help is is you can find some longtube headers for your dakota. The problem is nobody makes them because there is hardly any room under your hood. My best friend has a dakota...hes a nerd at this stuff. The best thing you can do for your dakota with out dropping tons of cash is a CAM. Get a quality Cam, some rearend gears and a legit tune...that'll throw you back in your seat...

Yeh I heard that headers don't do **** to Dakotas. Well I want to go out to Cali and check out the jumps cause I haven't been out there in a really really long time. Are you still driving your 1500? Eventually I'm trying to get the 3" rancho suspension lift and throw on some 33" mud terrains. Thats for the advise on whats best for the Dakota. What year is your buddies cause mines an 01 with AWD / 4WD
