one of my past rigs. Despite me never really being into XC, I really liked the Fisher. It was under 22 pounds, accelerated like it had a motor, and after riding my DH bike all day I could get from El Cerrito to Oakland in about 20 minutes. Felt like I was flying.
full XTR drivetrain cept RaceFace cranks and Ti bb, carbon monkeylite riser bar, Manitou Mars (whichever was the top of line), King wheelset on ceramic Mavic 517s and King headset, the works. Loved that thing soo much.
heh, by the way, those WTB products were sold before I even rode the bike for the first time.

Damn Warren, I finally got my internet workin correctly and was able to load up pinkbike. Remember meetin up at Stanford to ride.. FAWK that would have sucked if your rear hayes went out while we were hittin those stairs!
That super 8 was sweet too. Too bad your experience with Santa Cruz didn't go well. I was surprised to hear a complaint about them.

your complaint. And sorry to hear about your bike. I saw you at Sea Otter last year. You were in the Shimy Booth getting your drivetrain adjusted. The Super 8. I should have come up to you and said hey. You were busy and it didnt seem like the time to talk to you.

Maybe he's wondering why you got rid of Santa Cruz? Both of em? Hell if I know why you went through those bikes so fast.. they were both sick rides.

Ok got ya.....I thought you were referring to something specific. I never had any problem with the frames themselves....just changed my riding style. The heckler was my first bike so I wanted suspension for my not so smooth riding....I still am not so smooth. I got an awesome deal on the heckler and the super 8 so I guess thats why I bought 'em. A hardtail just seemed to catch my eye. Less expensive, less work, ect.
