nah...light isn't as important as strength for me.

The Carbon spacers is what I had in my toolbox at the time, actually they aren't that much lighter than aluminum ones.

The cassette is a 12-27…pretty much standard on all my bikes.

Road cassettes/derailleurs are the best for mtnx/ds. You dont need a wide range of gears for this kind of stuff. Plus less chain/less gears=less weight. They're also great for dj'ing. Once you hit the trails and have to climb it sucks, but you can always just switch over to a mtn cassette in the rear, simple and easy.

I know.... I use a road cassette but that looks like a really small range of gears compared to mine

maybe it's just the angle or something
