p.3's weren't available last year in the US, i got this thing in july. i don't want double tracks or gears or hydros. building from scratch would be a hassle and i just wanted something i could ride and learn on, and upgrade to suit my needs as i went, since my last bike was a cross country. plus, i didn't have mommy and daddy buying this thing for me so i wanted something cheap but ridable. the p.2 has too many parts that i would have replaced anyway so i didn't want to pay extra for that. the p.1 was perfect. best color too. and when i'm finally done with everything, it'll still probably come out cheaper than a p.3.

yeah i can feel the weight difference but it also gives me confidence because i know it's not some flimsy little SC fork. after a couple rides, i've gotten pretty much used to it, but i can tell my arms will be getting stronger.

right on. i love this bike.
and all you weight weenies complaining about this fork are too quick to judge. it's been no problem for me. i hadn't ridden in 2 months and it only took me 1-2 little street rides to get used to.

i still have the best P.1 :p
just gotta get an avid for the rear then get a EA70 or .243 bar. i'm gonna get the travel upgrade so i have 130mm for summer trails. and if i have a job, a mammoth rim for the rear.

sick. one thing though-make sure you get good levers for your brakes. i can't see what kind you have, and i don't know how well they work, but avid mech's are awesome....with the right levers and housing. just something to keep in mind :09:
i like the color scheme-black :147:
