Why aren't you running clipless?
|
|
If you are going to race, you should have clippless pedals, and with a bike that heavy, you need them.

Oh yeah, and as for tires get some Kujo DH's, they are the hottest race tire you can get. I am running Maxxis now, one in the back, the one in the front ripped on like a 6' huck (I don't even think that is a huck) and I was at about half the max psi.

I don't think Oliver would want to get clipless. The bike pedals surprisingly well for its size.

Yea, that thing is blingin' except for the headset, tires and pedals. You definately need to get new tires and pedals Ollie. Those things blow.

You should get the intense dh classic 2.7 front and rear, those tires are pimp. You can buy them on go-ride.

For tires, take my word. I can rail the shiznet, jsut ask John or Josef, they saw me that day at Cmont. Go with Maxxis Minions, 2.7, Slow Reezaay in the front Super Tacky in the rear, good endurance, not to heavy, corner like a rally car... O and, I hear those bikes ride really lightly on DH, and, Steve Peat doesnt use clipless, so it aint a proven fact that clipless is the only way to go :12: Platforms forever (A-Frames...)

I agree with you that platforms are good but just for the record steve peat one the world cup two years ago on clipless. He rides clipless with the skate shoe clip ins. 661 launch shoes. Anyways unless your really serious about racing and are ready to eat **** a few times really hard (especially if you learn at northstar) platforms are better for you.

pimp new bike dude...
you gotta tell me how that wheelset holds up, i am thinkin about gettin that set myself.
and for pedals i would totally recomend the weyless b-27's. just bought a pair myself over at supergo a while ago and i am totally lovin em so far. they are great and affordable to. :006:

as for tires, i totally agree w/ tasso's opinion, those minions rock for the conditions around here.
