Mtbfreerider182's Super 8

Well, here she is. I'm gonna do this only a few pics at a time so I can describe each shot.
First, it's hard driving when you have this brand new baby sitting in your back seat just itchin' to ride. By the way, I've never had this much bling in my life (it's all twenties). :09:

As you can tell, the only thing I've done with it so far (aside from monkeying with different saddles) is some detailing. So far, here it is. I'm not sure whether I'll remove the Race Face sticker, and while I was waiting for the paint to dry I even painted the ends of the chainring screws, as well as the little Mr. Dirt diamonds (except for the ones under the crank). The two x's on "Maxxis" are a tad yellower, too (not pictured). I think I'm going to paint some of the crisscrossing on the top of the swingarm as well, and maybe put on some clean lines, but I think that might be overkill. Here's where some input would be nice :)

Ahh, what's more beautiful than your two faithful girls side by side?
(By the way, I really like how the Azonic fits perfectly in between the 8's frame, and how the colors match in terms of the Sombrio sticker and the frame...maybe I should paint the red parts yellow, just like I painted my swingarm?)

Sick bike man! That's the perfect northstar ride. It's awesome that you really spent a bit more and got something that'll really kick arse. I give it a thumbs up.

Holy crip it's a crapple!

wow, yeah SICK northstar bike! :You_Rock_

only thing that looks a bit scraped up is the front brake lever and the pedals a bit. but thats what you get i guess when you buy a used bike. other than that, sweet setup, your gonna have a blast on that bike :1244:

Can anyone tell me what happens when you change the rear shock mounting to the lower setting on the frame?

I think it might just change the geometry or travel. You should PM Dog.

i think the lower setting gives you more travel and a moer linear feel, but i dont notice anhy difference on my bor supa 8 when its set to the different things, also, keeo the lower shock bolt tight or it has a lil play, and its a bitch to adjust the shock while its in the frame...

Downhill racing is not an extreme sport.

unless youre into that sorta thing...

Hey my friend and I saw you biking up a street in Whistler today. Or at least we thought it was you on your yellow super 8. Was it?

Nah, there were quite a few Super 8's in Whistler, but none of 'em were mine (although some were surprisingly similar...). I've been riding my BigHit the last two months or so, seeing as I'm at my mom's, and that includes Whistler riding. Although for future reference look for a white BigHit Comp with '04 Boxxer Teams and a Little Tykes horn.

Oh okay...It was just a yellow Super 8 with a monster with a younger guy riding it, so we thought it was you. Are you up here right now?
