Ever since my bike got stolen last summer I've been puttin spare parts together building a cheap hardtail. I've finally come up with a decent running bike. My rumble has been brought back to life:

ya its a new stance static. It's brand new so im still breaking it in. So far its workin well, its low travel but it feels like a lot more. The chromoly stanchions also feel alot better than i expected they would.

chris: i did buy new cranks for it. I went through two square tapers in under a week so i decided i needed an upgrade.
As to the gary fisher hardtails thing. I think the rumble is an awesome hardtail and not cheap at all. Its aluminum but the gussets make it a burly enough frame.
I rode carlmont today and it was workin fine. It was a bit ghetto w/ the one rear v-brake, but it jumped the new six pack like a dream.

The stance worked great its a little heavy but nothing i cant get used to. The only problem is that the preload is set really slow but i'm going to adjust it.
I'm actually interested in the brake but i need to work on getting a disc compatable wheel first. I have extra pads so no worries.
