I've been using Fox Sidewinders for a while with no problems. They fit my hands really well, which is rare for me. I have a decent sized palm but slightly short fingers. The previous gloves I've worn have been pretty long in the finger so that's annoying. Only complaint I have is that the left hand thumb is pushing through. No biggie though. Just sewed it back up. Good luck MM

BTW, ever ridden Iron Mountain?

AXO Mechanix gloves (discontinued)

March 22

The Specialized Team DH glove with the spider veins on the back... 2.0/5.0 at best. These gloves are the correct size for me, but the internal stitching at the fingertips and at the webbing (the area between each finger) is annoying. It features a Body Geometry pad at the ulnar nerve which I use only during seated climbs to rest my wrists (I do not rest fingers on levers during climbs, just my wrists on top of the grip and fingers loosely wrapped around the grips.) Blisters? I do get blisters after long rides on the Team DH. The neoprene top back snags on bushes. Fair protection without excessive material.

Looking for another glove...

Monday morning I bought new old stock "AXO Mechanix" gloves on eBay. $14 shipped. I will update with pics and a review when I get a chance to ride on 'em next week. The AXO Mechanix are AXO's blend of MTB glove and Mechanix technical features (see www.mechanix.com for details on glove technology).

March 24 (Update)

The AXO Mechanix gloves are one size too big for me. Materials tag says "AXO Sport, Mechanix, LARGE / 10, 50% Synthetic Leather, 36% Nylon Mesh, 11% Elastic Band, 3% P.V.C. Made in Korea"

Inside of glove is comfy. Mesh material is super smooth and snag free (got hangnail? no prob. Fingers will easily glide inside.) Great feeling glove. Light and easy to wear.

What's the problem then? I got the wrong size. Fingers are too long for me. Plus, material bunches up in the palm when I curl my fingers. Syn.Leather palm is NOT padded.

Who wants 'em? Mudanoman? I paid $13.50 SHIPPED.

vice versa for me- I use my bike gloves for batting.

oh, and remember- left hand glove for sweat, right hand for snot. you don't want to mix those up!

my AXOs don't have a cloth area.

Well,

let me give you guys a couple shots. I've had ALOT of
gloves. Sidewinder,DirtPaw,Troy Lee,Azonic,the lists goes
on forever. They all suck to me. All of them have the same
Main Problem. Poor Stiching. Fingers pushing through. Then
One tries to guess if I should go Larger,or Smaller on
Size when purchasing? :15: I love All my Gloves when I
First put them on. 2 weeks later, they fall apart. :wtf1:
Shots coming up.

Let's see,

regarding the new "A" Gloves. Nick is right, buy them
small. As soon as they get wet/stretched,the Palm
bunches up on you. I bought them with a nice fit,
but they stretch out. They have THE most thickest
4 finger Palm Patch I have ever felt. It is not too
thick to bother me in anyway. The glove Feels real
safe as soon as you put it on. The Gap between your
Index finger and your thumb. IE,put your index finger
right down to the bottom of your thumb on your hand.
The Glove seems to have a Gap there, not following the
conture of your hand. Last,I have ripped one finger out
of them and it's been about 15 rides.

Mabye it's just my Large Hands and I am brutal on Gloves.
But when I drop 40 to 60 bones on a set of Gloves. I want
at least 6 mounths.

Real quick. Anyone who wants those Blue Fox's off to the
side can have them. Size L/XL I think.

The Troy Lee's felt the best of All I EVER had. They also wore out
quicker than all of them. Skin Tight. Real Nice. Race Only.

The Fox Solo's treated me well. Good Wear.

My thoughts for now,sleep tight.
