Best DH fork ever

What is the best DH fork ever? I need light, plush, sensitive, caring, and handles well. Probably about 7 inches, in the range of a Dorado. Preferably still available new...

Downhill racing is not an extreme sport.

unless youre into that sorta thing...

hell yeah. Zocchi dh is the only way. The only other comps for id run is a boxxer. But still a super t and 888 over a boxxer

For freeriding and all around DH I would have to say a shiver. Very plush. For Racing its gonna be a boxxer or darado...maybe a 888, I dont know much about them.

I've ridden a Foes and didn't like it much....

I've always wanted an Avalanche fork though... especially if they are as nice as their rear shocks :147: :05: :05: :05:

Haha, I'm gonna say haha after everything I say. haha
This is so amusing. haha

my opinion...
Risse= great forks
Avalanche= never riden one
Derado= i've riden 2, one i hated and i thought i sucked balls, the other whooped ass and it was on a v10 which made it better
888= im just getting one so i dont know
jr./super t= riden one and it was good, it handled drops nicely
boxxer= riden 2, a boxxer pro and it was awsome and i loved it, tasso's boxxer race, and i loved it as much as the pro
foes= never tried
hanebrink= never seen them or riden them, but the are supposed to suck dramatic monkey balls so i'd go with that
shiver= riden 2, (kind of) one i just mozeed around on and i couldn't tell, the other was an awsome drop and freeride fork but not good race situation

overall conclusion: buy a boxxer team/world cup or a derado and win a race with it.. or get a jr/super t and get a silver medal but have a sick all around fork that can handle anything you throw at it

Risse=owned one it sucked
X vert carbon=owned one it sucked
Super T owned 2= both awesome never had any problems
Foes=my friend had one broke it twice and it felt crappy
Boxxers they feel great when they work but I know several people that have toasted them in short periods of time.
Dorado-Simply the sickest fork if you have race support. Thats the reason every 1 on the pro circuit has them is because manitou keeps them fresh and has extras laying around. They break and don't last long, but when their working it will be the best thing you've ever rode, but they will just be a burden having to continously fix them over and over...

my opinion get a marzocchi, simply the best easiest fork to ride and maintain, you will never have to deal with fixing it and it will always feel awesome, also a great deal, you can get the 03 super t pro for like $600 on closeout on Jensonusa.com !!! If you are going for lighter weight go with the super t, not the Jr. , just get the super t its worth the extra $$$ I wouldn't even bother with a shiver now that the 888 is out, if you want plush pik one of those up(the 888).

Up at Chico State, theres good riding up here- lots of freeride trails and tech stuff in Bidwell Park,,, but theres also 5 private lakes we can water ski at...
