is the specialized p2 a good freeriding bike..?

The P2 is great for the money. Works well at skateparks, dirt jumps, and slalom courses. I personally hate to ride it downhill. If you are thinking about drops, gaps, and other foolish stunts, then you might want to consider a 5-6" travel squishy. It'll be worth it in the long run. Peace, Ivan

Cool thanks, but do you think a stock p2 is good for drops, gaps and other street stuff??....but i know later on i will need a new fork

your stock fork will be good for 1 drop and 1 gap, hahah those things really don't last long if you hit anything of size.

1 as in the fork is weak, one drop one gap... snap (thats what some people say). I have the 03 P2, had it since last july, beat on it, and in the process bought new brakes for the stock ones suck and a new fork. now i guess its ok, but obviously for the price you pay your not getting an amazing bike.

soooo..... id try to save up for somethin more in the cannondale chase range of hardtails, or just go with a fully
if all else fails go with the p2 and beat on it
