So I found a guy who's willing to sell me this bike for $750, and I'm wondering if I should go for it. The frame's good, as are the wheels, but it's missing a few parts (most minor save for the brakes) and the fork isn't that good, it's more of a "comes free with $750 purchase" type of fork. That said, do you guys think I should go for it?

Hmm. It would probably cost twice that to get it running nice, new fork, brakes, chainguide, etc. I just saw this posted here on msdhw, http://www.msdhw.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2757. Thats not bad, eh?
Also, dont you have a Bighit at Canadia? So you probably know what they feel like.

He has a bighit in canada, so i think he know how it feels. but otherwise ya, is that a stratos fork or something, also i wouldnt go for because he must fall alot because if you look at the parts closely he has many scratches in odd places i.e. the to of the stantion tube, also if you look at the cranks, they are pretty much worn to the bone. just my 2 cents. also where is it at?

Between that Bullit and the Banshee I mentioned, I'd take the Banshee. Better fork and not a tiny frame. I'd hecka pick that shiz up if I were you.

Mebbe he likes the big hit... pick up the Banshee, sell the parts you don't want, and grab the Big hit?

Okay, lesse, so much help! You guys rock.
The Bullit is too much....I barely have $700. The Banshee link doesn't work anymore... :(
I do have a BigHit in Canada, so I do like them, but I agree quite a few parts would need to go from this bike over time (EEW Hussefelts!!). I'd swap out the fork as soon as I got the money.
The AC1 is nice but I'd like more travel in the rear, and I'm not a big fan of that kind of linkage.
Good spotting on the scratches, Tommy.
Thanks for your help, I think I'm gonna pass unless he drops the price.
Cheers!
