"Bay Area" or "Northern California"

Since Msdhw.com is just as much a part of mine as it is yours, I would like to ask for your opinion on changing its title from “Bay Area Downhill & Freeride Community” to “Northern California Downhill & Freeride Community”. I realize some members are technically not in the Bay Area, so the new name will equally include everyone. I also believe this is a great way for us to expand our mountain biking community. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I think its a good idea, because then the new people that see the site may be shyed off because they do not live in the Bay Area. So I think its a good idea, also I dont see any downsides so why not go ahead and change it. :unitedsta

i see that it could be a bonus that will help increase the number of memebers. any idea on what to re-name MSDHW.com
also i like MSDHW.com just they way it is

The name msdhw would not change... it would just change from Bay Area Downhill & Freeride Community to Northern California Downhill & Freeride Community.
Oh, and I say change it. Just beneficial; don't see any downsides.

ya, and just think if you changed it to northern, when people search google/ yahoo it will problably come up alot better, and alot more aften. therefore, MORE members,

Just wondering why some people voted to leave it as Bay Area? I would say to change it to include more people, it really takes a while or some searching to realize that not everyone on here is right around the SF area... I voted for Northern California for those reasons; bring more people in, and maybe expand the base of people on the site.
also, just another thought. does it say anywhere what msdhw stands for? i somehow figured it out, but i can't remember how and i don't think i't's on any of the pages... might be good to include that if it's not around.

I don't like it, bay area gives the local concentration thats missing from other sites. I like being able to organize rides and what not and when I talk about a trail, others know what I'm talking about. If you really want to expand, make sure there are separate sections for bay area rides and such.
