Ok this is an off the wall question/poll, Allergic Reactions...

Anyone else had any bad reactions in the case of a mosquito, bee or spider bite this season? What about Poison Oak?

I never react too badly to these things usually, but I got a spider bite on my right jaw line the other day that turned into Mt. Vesuvius! At least I didn't go into shock like with my penicillin experience last year.

How it happened: I had my full face helmet on and must've picked up the critter when I went riding in Joaquin Miller on the 23rd, last week. of it crawled into it while it was in the garage. I think it got hungry or something. Doctor said to watch it and play it by ear. Maybe it happened because it's been so dry this season, whatever.

So, that being said:

What's the reaction you had, with what(Mosquito, Spider, Bee, etc.) and what did you have to do about it? Where did it happen?

I gotta do like my father does now for bee stings, carry around an epi shot injector so I don't end up hospitalized. A strange situation altogether.

It's gone down a bit, here's a reference shot...

i got three wasp stings on the same area on my leg once. that was pretty painful, not allergic. but very painful. more intense than broken bones, at least from what i have experienced.
