On the topic of breaking stuff, I always break crank arms/strip pedal threads. I broke 3 arms before I got new cranks, haven't broke any since.

my old purple hayes had steel braided hoses that got bent to far and sprung a leak. The normal hose lasted much longer.

I've never seen broken Goodridge lines. I had Galfer ones which had crimped ends on them. They broke at the fitting, not in the steel braided line part. Just don't get crimped steel lines. I got these for 30 bucks for the set so I swung for them against other people's advice to not get them... and POP! No brakes. :35:

derailleurs once and a while, I wear out shock DU bushings really quick and snap front axles alot for some reason... grrrr.... :lame: :cussing: :31: (not the skewers)

I had an X9 derailleur for about a year until it broke on a roof drop cause I was in too low of a gear and the chain tensioned too much and ripped it off... sigh :tired: now i have a new X9! haha, swell eh? :05:
