I like seeing out dated riders huck off of ladder bridges just so they can take up space for new rippers like...

Chrissy
Tommy Domingo on his new Iron Horse Sunday
Jose with his low ride easton bars
Ryan when he hets his awsome 888

also I like to see bike reviews... and the magazine has to have lots of pictures cause I can't read...

uhh yeh comp/race photos, and in decline AKA the only mountain bike magazine worth reading.. they have a comparison between two people that are in the same field of mountain biking.. two racers, Head of marzocchi/Head of Manapoooo..
I like to see who I like more.

ha.. there should b a grom mag for all the up and coming riders.

it would be both good for the kids in the mag, and good for companies to get a look at possible people to sponsor.
it could also edumacate the groms about their bikes.
just an idea...

A good idea! Motocross has done that already, it is called MX MINI, it has all the inside scoop on the groms of the dirt bikes... pretty sick and in my opinion, sicker to look at..

And what about...

What about the "Older" peeps who're stuck in a 9-5 job, and "Reprezent, Keep It Real Aiight!"-oh yeah, forgot we already have that one planned...:09: :09:

What about "has-beens" who still represent? Oh yeah, forgot, that was my name on that article...:09: :09:

..Seriously though, something that make's the mag unique, and reaches it's market well.

I've had a sub to Decline(R.I.P. 26) since Scott and Ralf were playing with the idea. Yep, "loaned" the boy's money for a sub, I think I got a fair trade.

I also keep(sometimes wonder why though) my sub to Dirt Rag. They don't necessarily focus on DH/Jumping/Urban, but when they focus on specifics they're way ahead of the curve, so much so, that their only competition sometimes is Scott and Ralf's deal w/ Decline.

I also agree, more female focus. I'm not trying to be politically correct, but come-on, MBA's cheapie article on Hannah sucked. She's a powerful rider, who will shape the Industry for years to come, provided she stays reasonably smart and safe. Look at Julie Furtado, Missy Giove, Anne-Caroline Chausson, Leigh Donovan , I still talk to some of them every so often, and look what they've accomplished and continue to contribute.

Maybe something in paper(nothing against the web) that does focus on not just women, but up-and-comers local to the region would be killer.

So, Chrissie, with all that being said, you have an idea up your sleeve, or was this just a general question? It's brought about some worthy ideas that should be used. Go make some money!!-I'll even help.

Peace!

Obi..

Im pretty happy with Decline. I like their race coverage and they show a lot of new products. Always interviewing interesting people. Only thing I would change is the amount of ads, insane...but hey its a huge magazine, gotta pay for it somehow. We just started carrying Decline in our shop.

ridin' faded for life

I have a subscription to Decline, but, honestly I am hot and cold with them. Sometimes there is waaay too much race coverage, which is ok, but I'm not that into it. I do however like their large format, interviews, product reviews and quality of writing (for the most part).
