Fox DHX Air or Fox RP3 for Santa Cruz Blur 4X

Hi guys!

Let me briefly introduce myself, my name is Peter and I recently moved from Germany to the SF bay area. To complete my movement I just ordered a Santa Cruz Blur 4X :147: So far I have some time left to mke some changes to its default setup. One of the things I have in mind is exchanging the Fox RP3 to a DHX Air. The downside is that it costs additional $240 :05:
What do you think? Maybe somebody here who already compared both dampers?

Thanks,
Peter

Welcome to the bay.
I have the fox rp3 on my blur 4x and i know a few others with the same setup,we have been very happy with the rp3.What type of riding do you intend to do?The dhx may be a little overkill in my opinion.

Yes, that's what I supposed - the DHX is a maybe a little too big and some sort of overkill. At home I usually did dirt jumping because there were no mountains in our area. Here I want to try more of FR and DH instead. Being no DH Pro I think I won't try any 6' drops and the DHX may not be worth the money for me. It is just because I am not sure when the RP3's limit might come into play. But knowing that some guys are happy with their RPs makes my desicion easier.

Thanks!

stick with the RP3, it's a sick shock and u'll save weight over the dhx as well.
