How are the 2004 big hits?

I've been lookig around for a new bike and I found some big hits. What is good about a 2004 big hit? Would you go with a 2004 or a 2005 big hit? Do you have to pedal a lot and put a lot of energy into getting speed for a jump?

04's and 05's are the same just diff color and components. they arnt the quickest bike in the world but they do get going

these do not ride the same as the 06 Big Hit. They also require a 24" rear wheel, which seriously limits tire options. The bike will be considerably flexier then an 06, and also does not share the same geometry. That said, it is still a 4 bar linkage with a horst link and still a pretty good bike, especially for the price some are going for.
