I'm looking for a new fork for my bike. I'm split between a Fox Float or a Vanilla. I have enough money for either of them, so now i just need to pick. Most of the time i do XC or urban assualt. Occasionally some DJing.
Thanks for the help.

I would have to say float so you dont have to deal with getting the right spring and its ballerer then a vanilla.

Float all the way!Its lighter and you can dial in the spring rate for different conditions with just an air pump.I have the vanilla and the talas, love them both but the talas is the sh1t.

What steerer length you need? I have a '06 TALAS I'm not using, overhauled recently, and in great shape, although painted white...
Thread's Here.
~Has a 7 1/4" steerer length.

cock shox! more than definitely, theyre just better, and you can get a reba, best cingle crown fork around. you dont need a pike, they just have a lot of travel, too much... you have a hardtail or fully? pikes are sometimes ok if ou have a big enough fully

The float is just as strong, only lighter and way easier to tune the spring rate.I have both forks and definately prefer the air.I weigh over 240 lbs and ride dirt jumps.Never had a problem with durability.
