Reign X vs Nomad vs SX Trail

Trying to figure out what I want in the future (later on in the year). Narrowed it down to the 3 frames:

Giant Reign X (6.75")
Santa Cruz Nomad (6.5")
Specialized SX Trail (6.6")

All have 6.5-6.75 inches of travel. Geometry is almost exactly the same for all three as they are the same breed of bike: long travel all mountain/trailbike, which may climb not so well but take the DH sections like a champ. What are you guys opinions on them?

I really like the way that giant feels, and they seem to have the best geometry for climbing, which is also contributed to the maestro suspension design. I may be a little favorable towards giant only because that is what the shop I work at sells, but I think it is the overall best bike for the money.

The reign looks really cool, but in the parking lot test I did with both the reign and the nomad, the nomad just felt better. The builds I rode were both feathery light and felt like they'd be really good climbers for what they were, but the nomad gave me more of the mini dh bike feel that would give lots of confidence on decents.

If it were me making the decision though, I may sway more toward the reign due to price.

I'm really interested in the SX Trail since it has the multi-configuration suspension setup whereas the other two are fixed.

I have the 05 Reign and that bike felt good for a long time, until I got a DH bike (I got a V-10). I rode that for a month straight and getting back on the Reign felt really foreign with such a steep headtube angle. Don't get me wrong, I'll climb the hell out of that Reign, but I definitely have more fun going downhill and I think that either one of these bikes will do the job.

I've ridden the Reign for almost 2 years and tinkered around on a SX Trail. Any input on the bikes from their owners?

Oh yeah I'm only referring to the Reign X frameset 6.75, different from the standard 6" Reign 1/2/3

I was riding my Stratguy's Dads Nomad... pedals amazingly and prolly climbs just as well. but if your going to do sum DH, i didn't like it. it jumped like poop and didn;t strike me as the bike that would be stable over rough stuff.

the SX, is a great bike, but i havn;t seen a light build that i would be comfterble pedaling up hill with yet.

Reignh.... Never ridden

So from my experience, go with the SX trail if you want a perfect all around bike, but make sure you can get a light build. If you can;t get a light build get a nomad, plus the nomad has more bling factor haha.

my vote goes to the Specialized
