I 2nd holy rollers. Tires with similar weighs and tread will work best. Hookworms are heavy, meaning higher rotational weight. Straightline speed, hookworms. All-around speed, holy rollers. Also check out the kenda k-rads and DMR motos. In terms of a trail, AM tires that rolls well, I've read good things about some of the Specialized tires. Basically, if it has reasonably low weight and a good tread patterns down the middle, it will roll well. Also factor in durometer rating.

dont count out the kenda k rads like rich said, they are stupid light and roll fast, plus they hok up pretty well on dirt too as long as its not loose or loose rocks...
|
Downhill racing is not an extreme sport.

Once again Rich you are right on! I'm riding the Hookworms 2.5s right now and they are so damn heavy!!! They roll nice and smooth on the pavement - once they get going, but they make you work to try and jump 'em.

i personally think the k-rad's are faste than the holy rollers because of the tread. the kenda tires have less spacing between knobs and it would have less rolling resistance i.e. faster

tioga fs100s are the best for street. roll faster, brake better, than the other tires mentioned. but are an a$$load lighter than the worms. they roll about as fast as hookworms if not faster but brake better
