Most annoying / loudest Fixie Freewheel

Answer: The White Industries Trials Freewheel. If you know of something more annoying, please post :09:

I was cruising on Crystal Springs yesterday and I swear my damn hub acted like a bike horn -- everyone turned their back when I coasted the bike...hehehe...

Details from WI site, image of freewheel attached:

The trials specific ENO freewheel was developed specifically for trials riding. Typically the trials freewheel is installed on the crank arm and a fixed gear is used at the hub. The two main issues with trials is quick engagement and durability of the freewheel. The trials version addresses both of these concerns. We have designed a specific outer gear case that is beefier than our standard freewheel. The case, like all our freewheels, is made out of 8620 steel, cased hardened and then electroless nickel plated. In short, made to last. The engagement system is a six pawl system yielding 72 points of engagement, double that of our standard freewheel. Can this freewheel be used in a typical single speed non trials application? Certainly. Available in 18t only. Made in the USA.

Attached is a shot of my Surly Steamroller. Absolutely love this bike. It buzzes nicely on the road and paved trails =)

Aside from the WI freewheel, I switched out the handlebar to a riser and added Crankbrother pedals.

I attest to this. Definitely the most obnoxious freewheel I've ever heard!

nothing is louder than a profile cassette... period.

I used to pull my hubs apart on my race bmx bike and bend the springs more than stock. It helped me quickly grab my starting position on the gate and not have to rotate again from over turning... which can throw you off.

Generally it scared any one on the track because it was so obnoxious. They knew I was coming for them.

You can run them in ss on mtb, or on a full blown out dh rig. Kings cant even compare in my book.

btw not to spam or anything, but freewheels only get so loud.

We tried messing with acs claws freewheels back when, and it peaked out. It takes a casette to get the loud whine being no freewheel will have that many positions on it to ratchet being its a smaller enclosure than a casette hub. Man I can't speel tonight.

btw if any one wants tech on freewheel re building, and adjustment shoot me a hollar. I know most won't being they are cheap and easy to replace, but some just like to tinker with stuff like me.
