Someone figure out this math for me..Warning Paved Content!!

Playing around in Pacifica (Rockaway beach) for a couple of days and was goofing around trying interval climbs, got the distances and elevation but not a good calculator too run Pythagorean or Calculus on. (SOH-CAH-TOA crap...)
160 feet of climb, and about 2300 feet of distance. (*Overstating distance to accommodate the switchbacks.)
Yes, I suck, and yes, I was that bored at the time. :D
Then we went up and around, played a while, swung by GearHead, all the fun stuff. :D

whadya want, grade? is that 2300 on a horizontal plane or on a slope?
7% grade as far as i can tell... if its horizontal... i think... :tired:
5.5 degrees under the same assumption?
dont hold me to it, im a professional bum, not a math person, and im tired...

and for some referance, the national insterstate highway system has a maximum grade of 6% (except the west side of the divide on I70, which has a 7% grade)
then theres lickskillet road out here in colorado... not to brag, but the steepest county road in the us
goes up maybe 2 thousand feet in a lil less than a mile

Numbers were via GE, 2300 feet from point where I started to where I stopped, and a 50m elevation change.
Funniest part isn't even from that part of the day's ride, it was our ears poping as we arrived back in town from the descent. :D
I miss that stuff, too much flat stuff out where I live, Coyote just does not do me anything anymore, other than the satisfaction of having done it within a certain time.
..basically sounds like I'm talking about a cheap date, huh? :35: :09:
*I figured it was easily 6-8, so yeah, thanks, goto sleep Tasso, wtf, it's like a two hour differance, bored w/ IH8MUD or lurking both? ;)
p.s. Kinda funny you'd be the one to reply, I halfway thought about that street sign out here today with your name on it, but then got smart, and left it alone. :006:

ya i was born in palo alto, so they named a street after me...
i was a lil pissed, i wanted a whole neighborhood
nooo that s actually named after an italian poet... im greek
and ya, i think i just read every post on ih8mud... ever... i just hurt my ankle, so i had a boring free day yesterday
ps 1 hour difference, but i dont have class today until 1... ironically its a math class too... and i have a test...
aaaand if you want ears popping, we have a few couple thousand foot shuttles here... like 40 minute downhills... and one that drops that 2000 feet next to that steep road in abouuutt, 4 minutes? itd be faster if we didnt put in switchbacks for the sake of sanity... its very steep. when we built it, at the end of a build day standing on flat ground, the flat ground felt all weird and sloped
ok thats it finalyl time to go
