New Chaintensioner!!!!

So i was really bored one day and thought of this. I dont know if people have already thought of this but now you all will know. Get a 22tooth chainring(the granny gear) most you freerider guys proly have em cause of chainguides. But now this useless piece now can serve another purpose. A Chaintensioner!!!!! place it into your singlespeed chain as depicted in the pictures. slip it closer to the rear for more tension. it stays in place. no tools needed.

i havent either. Does the ring in the chain move around or does it actually work. I mean not ride like a ghetto rigged specialized.

My website is pretty lame. Dont click on it.

The phantom ring is old school (in a good way). I dig the paint scheme too. It could be especially useful if you wanna run ss and don't have a horizontal axle, but it may have the drawback of less chain length on the rear cog. If you keep the ring smaller it should be all good (you can really use whatever size cog you want). But a bigger cog one tends to trip people out a little more :147:

Holy crip it's a crapple!

yeah, its called a phantom gear. I tried it for a while but it ended up just making more drivetrain-noise for me. Since I have a 1/8" chain and the cog was a 3/32" it had some play and moved side to side a lil and caught the side plates occasionally. I saw alot of people in the dj comp at otter with phantom gears. I really didnt need it anyhoo, I have horizontals :18: ...... and so do you? lol you already have a chain tensioner too.

yeah but my chain tensioner is cranked all the way down. the dropouts are too short for it to really do its job.

yeah i feel ya. All the P. series frames have really short dropouts. If you ever get tired of the phantom gear, you can get a half link from danscomp or most any place that sells bmx stuff, there only 2 bucks on dans.
