Try a 2:1 ratio. so 36t w/ 18t rear, 32t w/ 16t rear . Peace, Ivan

Ditto Basik's post...

Not to disagree with Ivan's recommendo of the tried and true 2:1, but when I was playing on mine, the 2:1 spun out too easily, go with 36:16, you'll do good with it.

I was a little spaced out when I suggested a 2:1 for a dirt jumper. Obi and BB have the right idea with the lower ratio. Peace, Ivan

I'm running a 25:12 gearing on my ss. its just a lil bit higher than a 2:1 ratio. I havent had any problems with it, hitting big gaps on street or dirt, including almost everything at carlmont besides canadian killer and stuff. It seems like a really good ratio to me. I'd try something closer to a 2:1 like a 34:16. If you run a 36:16, youre gonna be cryin on almost any uphill, and it might be a lil uncomfortable even on flat stuff.

i am personally run a 32:14 and it works good for street and really good for dirt jumps, but im running 24's so that makes it a lil different i think.
