Woot-Woot!! 2008 Avid Team Stylos!!

Woot-Woot!! Happy (Late) B-Day to Me. :09: :09: :09: :09: :09:

Didn't get to goto the Hurricane, erm, SeaOtter event this year, but did get a part of my 2008 kit in and threw them on to take out and start beating up on.

So far so good, definitely a lot stiffer than previous versions, and wow, the weight's really nice, not just compared to that old Hussefelt set I had on there, but also compared to the '07's I've been running this past year.

So, lemme see here, bike's dropped 3/4lb in the last year, (I've definitely dropped some myself...who know's what I might get myself into if things work out), I have a solid set of brakes still from last season, my "Lucky 7's" I got to keep, now all I gotta do is get off my duff and finally build up my new Chris King SS/ISO wheelset.

:D I am so stoked doesn't even begin to sum things up, now, if only I could find even more ride time. :11: :147:
*I'll post a review if anybody wants after a month or so.

Good stuff!

Btw, checked out your Coyote hill pics -- damn I remember doing a cross country race [3mi. run] back in my high school days.

Get those Kings built.

Peace,

Ivan

I know, but I gotta decide on a "Yes" for the Kings, or an internlly geared hub to try to destroy. :D

As for the crankset, well, it takes the abuse, I came up a little short/shy on one of the newer granite blocks near the new buildings at the local spot. I wasn't even trying to bunnyhop up it, just roll onto it when "WHACK".

Results:

Crank/Chain-Nada dang thing wrong.
Wheel-Nada lot...Scratched when I dumped the bike to jump off it quick.

**Getting some skills back too helps. :D

Lemme know when you guys are in town and we'll find time to go out and ride. :07: :09:
