help with daily driver/ moped plans

so im planning on building a moped with one of the little chinese moped kits on ebay
it all looks good to me except for the rear cog- they do this super hoaky system essentially bolting a cheesy cog to the spokes

i would like to build a wheel on a hub that is fixed on the left (for the motor) and free wheel on the right (pedals), the main issue is finding a 30+ tooth cog for that set up

my other idea was to build a wheel with the freewheel on the right, and then instead of threaded cog on that side, mount some kind of cog to the disk brake mount

if anybody has any ideas please share, also i am on the look out for used parts now so let me know what you got

thanks for your help

So what El Bandito's pic is of is a .243 frame with a disc hub laced to that wheel.

The cog's either drilled out at 6 points to attatch, or a specially made Boone Cog, again, with a 6 bolt attatchment method.

Also, you have to register and have those inspected as of this year's changes in the vehicle code, or else risk it being seized/impounded.

*The trick is installing a govenor for inspection that limits the top speed to less than IIRC 15mph.

oh thanks for pointing that out
i looked up some of the laws for mopeds but i guess they were outdated
the laws i read stated that if it had pedals, less than 2whp and capped at 30mph it was cool

if i need to do an inspection, perhaps i could bring it in with lower gearing? otherwise i dont know how i could get a speed governor on this thing
